Saidal was founded in 1984, the company is owned by the government. The challenge of Saidal is to cover the needs of medicine in the national market and it has made a strategy which is aimed for reducing the imports of medicine by developing of the pharmaceutical industry in the country.

Saidal was established after 20 years of Algeria’s Independence after re-structuring the Algerian Central Pharmacy Company and the National Chemical Industry, the main goal of the company was to reduce the dependency of Algeria to other countries with regarding medicine.
Saidal is currently developing and producing a variety of 180 medical products which is covering 20 therapeutic departments such as heart disease, diabetes, flu and dermatology.
Saidal has 50 factories and 9 production labs in the country also it exports the products abroad mainly to Arab and African countries.
